AAFC specializes in three areas: Teaching of English as a second language; spoken and written Arabic; and American Citizenship Preparation. These classes are supplemented by numerous informal activities and assemblies providing opportunities for practice of linguistic skills and friendly interaction.
Communication is essential to successful integration into American society. Our initiative seeks to equip Arab immigrants to communicate effectively in an English-speaking country. With a strong understanding of the English language, immigrants will be able to communicate with potential employers, discuss ailments with healthcare professionals, build friendships, partake in community and cultural events, and take the citizenship exam to become a United States citizen.
Morning classes are for women. Evening classes are mixed-gender classes, providing an opportunity for couples to learn together.
تعتبر الاتصالات في المجتمع الامريكي من الامور الاساسية في النجاح المتكامل، ونحن نسعى في مبادرة من اجل تهيئة المهاجرين العرب للتواصل بشكل فعال في بلد يتحدث اللغة الانلكيزية. وخلال الاستيعاب القوي للغة الانكليزية، فأن المهاجرين سوف يكونون قادرين على التواصل مع ارباب العمل تباعاً، وكذلك القدرة على مناقشة الامور الصحية مع المتخصصين في الرعاية الصيحة وبناء الصداقات والمشاركة في المجتمع وفي الفعاليات الثقافية والدخول في الامتحان الخاص بالمواطنة من اجل ان يصبح المهاجر مواطناً امريكياً.
